Role of Peer-to-Peer in Web 3.0 - THETA Networks

As the internet continues to evolve it keeps that hope of centralization alive and well!

A brief run down on where we have been - early '90's Internet was developed by Al Gore.  LOL.  Enterprises started moving Business transactions across it, consumers started to surf via Netscape browsers. The advent of e-commerce started to appear during a phase known as Web 1.0.

Then in the early '00's the Web 2.0 started to show up most notably via Smart Phone applications (aka mobile), Social networks started to be birthed and adopted.

Now we are moving into the next internet evolution phase known as Web 3.0 where the focus is on moving away from centralized Content Delivery Networks (CDN) while preserving the key tech elements that work and foster greater innovation.  What will be key to this new era? Internet of Things running across 5G networks, Blockchain, Edge computing coupled with AI-driven services all running on top of decentralized networks.  You might be asking for me to break that down into common speak?!?

Cloud computing services offer cost effective Edge computing platforms that can be paired w/ Artificial Intelligence (AI) to bring about cost effective innovative solutions that are looking for problems.   Theta networks is currently working with IBM to bring AI to Samsung Galaxy devices which then benefit from the IBM Cloud. Allowing IBM's AI lead benefit Theta network offerings.

Summary - the shift towards decentralized (Peer-to-Peer) Web 3.0 is already underway. Here is to all the potential of new break throughs.
