Ranting, Writing & Crypto - Dogmatic Truths

One of the biggest problems that the crypto world is facing is the adoption. The second problem would be retention. We have several channels available now to campaign about crypto but people still have hesitation to get onboarded. We have to make crypto concepts more friendly so that we can take it to a common man who has no exposure to cryptocurrencies or blockchain. At the same time, we shouldn't be making it hard for the common man to learn more about the wallets and all the crypto concepts. We have to make it easy for them to learn.

In this article, let's see how we can make it easy for a common man to get onboarded in crypto. There are a few things that we can do and apart from that it can take a few more years to stabilize and use case-based onboarding might become one thing. Even Personally I don't know much about how other blockchains work and my focus has always been mostly on Hive only recently for a game I had to do some integrations with WAX blockchain, otherwise, my knowledge of other blockchains is close to zero but at least I know the fundamentals of the cryptocurrencies and ecosystem. We have to find ways to make it easy for the common man.

Doing a campaign

Advertisements are one way to tell the world about cryptocurrencies. We cannot blindly onboard people. Even if we do so, they would start their journey and easily lose focus and go away. Schools and colleges are the best places to get started. There can be seminars or guest lectures in colleges explaining blockchain technology and more about cryptocurrencies. User-friendly materials can be created to take this concept to prevalent men or the emerging youth population.

Strengthen the support centers

Some of the blockchains are very good as it is but there is not enough documentation or materials to get started. It took me a while to understand Hive and start doing a few things even though I had a developer background. We have a discord channel or an X account available for Hive where people can reach out if they have any questions or concerns. But for other blockchains too there should be some avenues available. We understand that this technology is more towards the decentralization side. Still, many individuals can have their support centers based on the dApp they run or prepare some materials so that the newbies can easily reach out.

Community engagement

This is the key here. One of the biggest advantages we have with Hive is that the blockchain itself is a social media platform where there are options available for communities and individuals to share their thoughts. More engagement can also happen by explaining about their project and interacting with individuals to onboard them. There are also a few physical engagements happening where people meet somewhere and do some engagement. These local meetups are being organized and it ends up becoming fruitful.

Making it more regulated

From what we understand there are a few regulatory concerns for cryptocurrenices. Some blockchains should take some initiative to sit with the regulatory bodies and make it more regulated so that there is no fear for the common man to continue using crypto platforms. There are a few countries where the concept of crypto is not clear and that makes it hard for people to stay compliant. Even the government doesn't understand the concepts and they confuse the individuals.

User-friendly wallets and applications

To make onboarding easier, people should also experience seamless account creation and wallet maintenance. One of the biggest factors that makes a project successful is based on the user experience it gives. If there are enough applications that are user-friendly and if there are wallets that can make the work easier, it should be a plus. Like how the other big companies think, the wallets and applications that are built should be dummies friendly with good navigation.
