On October 26, smart contract auditing firm Quantstamp announced that Ethereum 2.0 is all set to launch, following an audit of Consensys’ Teku client.
- Quantstamp released a statement on October 25 via Decrypt, saying that it had spent “countless hours” auditing Teku for consensus rule enforcement, and code quality for rewards and penalties
- The Quantstamp team expressed confidence in the codebase, while also noting that the Teku development team were quick to resolve concerns related to unlimited inbound messaging queue, syncing issues, and validation logic
- CEO Richard Ma said that Phase 0 of Ethereum 2.0 would be released “in the near future”
- Quantstamp has also successfully audited Prysmatic Lab’s Prysm ETH 2.0 client
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 of ETH 2.0 is expected sometime in 2021 and 2022; the Zinken testnet was a success on October 13, with final preparations made for the mainnet launch
