Promoting Hive on other platforms

Making money from blogging has always been a great source of income for many people. In web2 mostly ad revenue is the only source of income but things are different on web3 where there is a strong tokenomics working behind how the money is generated and distributed for the bloggers. There are also parameters where people have other opportunities to earn as well apart from just writing blogs. Those include curation and other investments too.

I believe Hive is one of the strongest blogging platforms out there. People on Hive write blogs and make a decent amount of money than any other platform and that is also one of the reasons why people prefer Hive to that other platforms. When I post my articles on other platforms I get a response from some people asking me what Hive is and how they can get started. I'm sure there were many people who joined Hive by reading my post and giving Hive a try. I don't know if they were able to stay longer here but at least they wanted to try Hive.

Onboarding has always been a problem on Hive. The first biggest challenge is to create an account on Hive. When people ask me, I usually direct them to either Leofinance or Ecency to create their accounts. They both have a good user interface or method to create user accounts and create the keys. In addition to that when people ask me where they can read more about Hive, I direct them to the FAQ page on Hive.blog which has most of the information that is needed.

There would be questions on details that are not available on the FAQ page. I would usually say that those questions would gradually get answered when they join and try and read posts from other people. It is anyways hard to get all the knowledge about Hive in a single day. I still remember spending more than 2 months to understand the concepts. To be honest I still don't know many things about this chain and how many things work. I'm not even talking about the technical aspects. I'm talking about the functional aspects.

Contributing to other platforms

One of the biggest advantages we have on Hive is that we can share about this blockchain on the blockchain itself in the form of an article. There are also other DPoS blockchains and other types of blockchains where the earning model is good but has a blogging facility. The project owners go to centralized blogging platforms like Medium to explain about their project.

Being on this chain for a very long time, I always thought that Hive needs more visibility and people from another blockchain as well. In order for that to happen, we should be going to other platforms and talking about Hive. There are a few blogging platforms that accept content related to web3 and even reward the users. Sharing our writing there can attract more users to Hive.

Similarly, people from other platforms would also be willing to give Hive a try. On Twitter people talk a lot about Hive and not many people understand this blockchain. Some people give it a try and some people don't stay longer. Only a few people keep hanging on. Promoting Hive on other platforms is very important to onboard some good authors, contributors, and investors to Hive.

Have you promoted Hive on other platforms? How has your experience been, share it in the comments section?
