They start with some numbers, interesting numbers, but not saying that much. From 5000 users in 2018 to 1.5 millions users now, PRESEARCH evolved nicely, having 10 million visits per month and 65 millions PRE staked in the actual form (keyword staking). Their media channels are similar with some other good projects, with 7.7k users on Telegram and 9.9k on Youtube. Presearch as search engine is private (not storing any personal info) and decentralised (using a network of nodes running open source software). Their are rewarding their users with a token called PRE (Presearch token).
After they announced the introduction of MasterNodes, the token value started to increase. PRE (Presearch token) is an standard ERC20 token, and at the moment we have 285 millions PRE in circulation, 150 millions reserved and 65 millions staked on keywords. Their total supply is 500 millions PRE. Presearch is a Canadian company from Ontario, Canada. The final aim of the company, called Phase 3, it is to be operated as a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO). At the moment (Phase 2) there are 10 specific active use cases for PRE, with another 15 planned during the Phase 3.
The beta program for the MasterNodes wqill be launched in September 2020, and it will be focused on registering, validating and federating. Later in 2021 will be added serving and coordinating, crawling being the last operation to be implemented. For an operator to run a node, a number of 1000 PRE tokens will be the minimum required to be staked at the launch. It is specified that, while the payment for 10 nodes x 1k PRE will be the same as for 1 node of 10k PRE in terms of Capacity Rewards, , the Utilisation Rewards will be bigger for the one user having 10 small nodes than the user having one big node. But you will also need 10 computers and extra electricity, so this is a equation to be solved later, after launch. Keyword staking will be still used as an option, and the traffic from ads will be still free until January 2021. Another interesting option is to use PRE tokens to have an advertising free search engine. The Search rewards will be also present on the platform after the masternodes launch.
In conclusion, after the beta launch in September 2020, the main launch will happen close to the end of this year. In order for this to work, i think that the Presearch team need to make the option of buying/selling PRE available on multiple channels, making it easier to sell and buy PRE (Presearch token).
