There are too many tokens. So much so we just can't keep up with the times and the coins these days. And it can make the life a bit painful if you ask me to keeping all of them into the portfolio. So now some companies are coming up with the idea that you can make use of the multi chain common tokens that can be integrated across games and a single coin can be traded across market. Like a universal coin.
Portal is that new coin which is trying to become one universal coin. This coin is going to make the new and existing games accept this coin and it would make it easier for the gamers to use such coin and hold it instead of holding too many coins in the wallet. This kind of is an attempt of portfolio reduction.
The Portal is one such ecosystem which is trying to be universal system for the gamers. I don't think they are being any different than the Immutable. As immutable has the login passport system, token, marketplace, NFTs and other items within single ecosystem. I suppose if everything works out for them they would be gathering more games and the items within their ecosystem.
Portal is currently in the launch phase and they are going to push for the airdrop. All we have to do is hold some solana based token and also ethereum and they would be pushing for the airdrop which they regularly do. And this would mean massive rain of the tokens to the accounts of people who wanted to put up some tokens in their account.
There are 200 plus games already that are accepting the Portal token. You can notice that $portal token is likely to have some marketplace footprint like immutable, epic and other gaming stores. I suppose this new war of the ecosystem and the tokens are going to be there. They also had the presale which is now over. So there is some movement from the proejct. Let's see where this Portal ecosystem goes.
