Polygon has been experimenting a lot. And apart from being an L2 of Ethereum, they are going way beyond the Ethereum's own project ever could get into. As there are some of the projects on the Ethereum taking the zero knowledge into the serious use case a lot of chains are adapting this for their own forked chains and the upgrades. Polygon has done such upgrade named as Miden.
Apart from their Miden update going alpha testnet live. And another is the agglayer chain update they were having since the last year. It's funny to say last year because this update happened in Dec and its like 5 months already to that. Time does fly as they say. As of now in this phase the developers would be running the testnet for accounts and also execute the smart contracts. So this would be a good direction for the Polygon chain.
Miden enables the dApp development with the update which does not require dependency EVM and other updates. Apart from the same agglayer is new project they are kind of working as well. And they have their own sharktank like grants program named as Polygon Village. So it's a good start for anyone who wants to see the Miden like private chain where the dApps would be deployed.
