BlockPegnio will use Enjin’s tech to implement governance NFTs that enable yield farming in upcoming PS5 game The Six Dragons.

After becoming an Enjin partner in 2019 and an official PlayStation Partner in October 2020, blockchain game studio BlockPegnio has announced plans to launch yield farming in The Six Dragons on PlayStation 5 in 2021.

In The Six Dragons, trading and crafting transactions are deployed onto the Ethereum blockchain with Enjin’s smart contracts. BlockPegnio will also be using Enjin’s tools to mint non-fungible tokens (NFTs), apply governance logic to them, and sell them through the Enjin Marketplace. The game’s governance system will enable yield farming, with governance NFT owners earning a percentage of all on-chain transactions that occur within the game.

“We believe decentralized governance within real-world governments is just a matter of time,” said Savvas Lazopoulos, CEO of BlockPegnio. “Through The Six Dragons version 1.0 and our upcoming PlayStation launch, we aim to prove its effectiveness and showcase its power, so people can enjoy the benefits for themselves.”

“BlockPegnio’s intended use of governance tokens for The Six Dragons is a mind blowing way to create play-to-earn opportunities on PlayStation 5,” said Simon Kertonegoro, Enjin VP of Developer Success. “The Six Dragons is one of the best looking games on blockchain, and it will soon become one of the most innovative games to ever launch on console. What a time to be alive.”

With 256 km 2 of gameplay, The Six Dragons is nearly seven times the size of Skyrim, a game known for its expansive environment. In the later stages of development, The Six Dragons is currently available to play on PC, with the PS5 version planned for Q4 2021. The team is also designing PvP modes and co-op quests intended to attract streamers and esports professionals to the game.
