We hope you are enjoying the new addition to your collection, Filecoin the Archiver, and thank you very much once more for the outstanding support! The Happy Crypto Family is slowly growing more extensive, and we can't wait to see what the future unfolds.
As you might have noticed, there was no update on Friday that passed us. We want to apologise for that. That was because of two reasons mainly. Firstly, we have been thinking of moving the day to anothe day to buy us some more time to prepare and secondly, we have been swarmed with exams and other responsibilities. So far, so good, just a tiny push left, and we are all done! Just a week left, and hopefully, there will be that perfect mark, in the end, you so much strive for.
So from now on, expect to hear from us another day of the week that will be announced soon, and if any specials are coming up, you will be notified from our channels. But definitely, we shall keep our appointments from Monday and so forth!
Suppose you are new here, well then welcome! Allow us to introduce ourselves! We are a bunch of friends that share the same enthusiasm for cryptocurrencies and eye-pleasing staff. We released our first NFT collection, the Happy Crypto Family, to celebrate our passion for crypto with the rest of the world.
The Happy Crypto Family NFT project is a series that celebrates cryptocurrencies in the cutest way possible. Expect to see many different cryptos, potentially your favourite ones as well, people that have influenced the industry, plus events that shook the exciting world of decentralised finance. We are confident that the result will be worth the wait!
The new member of the Happy Crypto Family that we will introduce today is Chainlink, the Accountant!
Chainlink is most likely the leader of Oracles. What are Oracles? Oracles are third party data feeds from external systems that provide vital information into blockchains that smart contracts may need to execute under specific conditions. So, in other words, transfer information correctly and accurately but foremost create the trust necessary for its smooth operation.
Chainlink is a blockchain abstraction layer that enables universally linked smart contracts. It was founded in 2017 by Sergey Nazarov, co-founder and CEO of Chainlink Labs. Chainlink allows blockchains to safely communicate with external data feeds, events, and payment mechanisms via a decentralised oracle network, delivering the vital off-chain information required by complicated smart contracts to become the dominant form of digital agreement.
Because it represents the connection between old legacy systems and new distributed LEDGER technology, Chainlink's decentralised oracle network is critical for adopting and using blockchain technology.
The majority of the world's data exists outside of the blockchain, and Chainlink uses APIs to safely put it onto the blockchain to be utilised in smart contracts. Data is retrieved from different off-chain API data streams and formatted into blockchain readable forms via Chainlink's decentralised network of oracle nodes.
As a result, Chainlink maintains all of the key features of smart contracts, such as trustlessness, decentralisation, and the lack of a middleman. All of the advantages of smart contracts would be lost without decentralised and trustless oracle data streams.
This is why a decentralised oracle network like Chainlink is important, because many smart contracts are rendered worthless without safe and reliable data.
