Overly Intoxicated

In the haze of intoxication, where senses collide, I wander in a realm where perception's denied. The world becomes a blur, a distorted array, As I stumble through moments, lost in disarray.

Oh, the intoxicating allure, a seductive embrace, A temporary escape, from life's frantic pace. But as the elixir courses through my veins, I find myself trapped, in a fragmented domain.

The laughter becomes louder, the colors more vibrant, But within the chaos, there's a whisper, a tyrant. In the depths of intoxication, reason retreats, Leaving me vulnerable, with my senses deceived.

The mind becomes muddled, thoughts in disarray, As inhibitions fade, and judgment gives way. Words stumble upon my lips, slurred and unclear, As I navigate a world, filled with uncertainty and fear.

With each passing moment, control slips away, And I'm left with a version of myself, astray. A loss of clarity, a detachment from reality, I surrender to the intoxicating duality.

Yet, in the aftermath of this intoxicating haze, Regret may linger, casting a somber gaze. For the allure of the moment can lead us astray, Leaving us to grapple with the price we must pay.

But in reflection, there lies a lesson profound, To embrace moderation, to seek solid ground. For intoxication's grip may be tempting and grand, But it's in clarity and balance that true strength stands.

So let us tread carefully, with mindful regard, To the depths of intoxication, not too far marred. For the world holds wonders, if we're present and clear, With a heart that's sober, and a mind that's sincere.

In the haze of intoxication, a cautionary tale, To seek moments of joy, but let reason prevail. For true liberation lies not in numbing the soul, But in finding inner freedom, where authenticity takes control.
