Blogging is not the only earning avenue on Hive. People love Hive for multiple reasons and would like to stick around Hive for several years more because of the wonderful community we have that can support individuals at all times. Blogging is just one possibility to earn from Hive and maybe for some people, Hive is not even about earning money. I have seen some people chatting regularly on Discord servers but they don't even engage on Hive directly in the form of posts or comments. All they want is a good community to interact and I believe that Hive has created a good place for that.
Many people who have the habit of writing share their thoughts and get a decent reward for that but because not everyone is a writer, it shouldn't be a feeling that this place is only for bloggers or writers. Other people in this community are also looking for opportunities other than writing or blogging.
Exposure to gaming
A non-writer who is just getting started on Hive can see several opportunities. One of the biggest opportunities that is slowly gaining popularity is the opportunity to earn by playing games on Hive. Most of the games are browser-based games and mostly maturing little by little. But for people who want both fun and play2earn capabilities, investing in a few games and playing games every day can be a good avenue. This is also an opportunity because they can grow their holdings or they can invest and multiply their investments. So gaming is a good thing on Hive and many games are just getting started. Being an early bird is also very helpful.
Exposure to investment opportunities
The next biggest opportunity for people on Hive is their investment. There are two ways in which people can invest and earn some money from their investments. The first way is to invest in the native on-chain cryptocurrency Hive. This is a very good investment because the price of Hive is very low right now and this may not be the case forever. When the market recovers back, people who bought Hive very low would be able to book a lot of profits. The second type of investment is HBD investment where people can put their HBD inside savings and reap a 20% interest per year that can be collected every month. People holding Hive as Hive power also get close to 8% APR from their Hive power for participating in curation.
Jobs inside the Hive community
There are many jobs out there that are around the community. The individuals need not write anything on the chain but they can be a community manager or advisor or a developer in one of the projects. This way they can make some income or get to know a lot of community members. People who usually have a dream to build something on Hive may have the idea but may not be familiar with the direction to proceed or not have the necessary skill set to proceed and achive it. That's a good job opportunity for people with that additional skill set and those who can achive things.
Some of the projects on Hive also require marketing. We were able to successfully onboard a lot of people with the help of marketing. If we were able to retain them after onboarding or not is a separate store of discussion but at least with the help of marketing, we were able to take the products on Hive to the public and onboard new individuals. That's another job opportunity inside Hive.
