The popular web browser Opera is now working with the Solana network by introducing support to decentralized applications (dApps) and a Solana wallet. This is part of its expansion plans to become a clear leader in terms of Web 3 adoption. The information was released by Opera in a blog post on Friday.

Opera Web Browser Suppors Solana

Solana users would now have the possibility to enjoy some of the best solutions offered by this new and fast blockchain network by using the Opera web browser. According to a recent press release, Opera joined forces with Solana Labs to integrate the Soalan blockchain into its browser and support its decentralized applications.

The goal was to remove the hurdles associated with Web3 and cryptocurrencies. It is usually complicated for newcomers to understand how to use these systems and how to integrate their wallets to different dApps and blockchain protocols. Thanks to the recent decision made by Opera to support Solana (SOL), it would be possible for users to experience a seamless experience for everyone. This would be possible thanks to Solana wallet integration with the browser.

Solana is one of the fastest blockchain networks in the market right now. This project is now attracting a large number of investors that would like to have fast and cheap dApp solutions. According to data provided by CoinMarketCap, Solana is the 5th largest blockchain network in the world after Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), BINANCE Coin (BNB) and Tether (USDT). At the time of writing this article, Solana has a market valuation of $51 billion and a price per coin of $168.

Susie Batt, Crypto Ecosystem Lead at Opera, said about the new integration:

“Solana has the goal of onboarding one billion people to crypto. That’s a goal we share. No other browser company has been at the forefront of web3 as early on as Opera. We are thrilled to be collaborating moving forward.”

At the moment, the Opera browser supports several blockchain networks that let users get access to a wide range of blockchain networks. Some of these platforms include Ethereum, Bitcoin, Tron (TRX) and Celo. With this new integration, we can add Solana to the list.

Solana is becoming an increasingly useful blockchain network as it makes it possible for users to engage on different dApps without having to be worried about high fees and transaction times. Solana solved many of the issues faced by other legacy blockchain networks. It offers fast transaction times and low fees.
