One of the biggest trend that started at the end of 2022 is certainly that of artificial intelligence (AI). Surely ChatGPT was the driving force, an artificial intelligence that I mentioned in an old post where I asked some questions about cryptocurrencies. Always connected to ChatGPT we find where by writing a text it is possible to obtain an image. Other sites that are going very strong are MidJourney (allows you to generate from an image...more similar images), Playgroundai (similar to Photoshop where you can also delete objects from photos and videos), (where you can get a PowerPoint with slides just describing the topic to the AI), (uploading a video the text is extracted. By editing the text it is possible to get a new video with different phrases, without re-recording it), Soundraw (for music generation) and (removes objects from photos).
AI IN CRYPTOCURRENCIES
Some AI-related tokens have also exploded, making huge gains. In all these blockchains there is no real use but it is only speculation in the short term, however there are some interesting projects (even if today they are used by very few people). Let's see the main ones.
is an on-chain data indexing network: it takes the data, processes it, organizes it and makes it available to anyone who requests it (query). Like a data search engine for blockchains and dapps. All this happens through graph and subgraph that create nodes. The Graph token is staked (delegator) for network security, whoever executes the queries pays fees in the GRT token precisely to the nodes. Indexers index data on nodes and create graphs by setting a price (paid by whoever wants to use it). Users pay GRT for various queries.
SingularityNET, among other things, is a cross-chain marketplace of algorithms (Audio Scene Recognition, Tononi's Phi Service, English/Korean Speech Synthetis, Textual Emotion Recognition, Speech Emotion Recognition, Philosophic Text Generation, Neural Music Demixing, etc).
Honestly nothing revolutionary, since they have existed on the web for years. We also find dapps connected to the ecosystem such as SophiaVERSE (NFT Gaming Gameplay, Marketplace and API), NuneNet (storage for decentralized networks), Awakening Health (medical systems), Jam Galaxy (app related to music).
Ocean Protocol is a decentralized data market where a purchase and sale of the same takes place. They can be connected with blockchain and DeFi tools. Wallets, dapps and Dexes become data marketplaces (lego data). Dapps that support Ocean Protocol simplify the development of libraries and smart contracts as well as DeFi returns and efficiency of the same. The protocol basically simplifies the creation of markets (for example by forking the code), the management of NFT and token.
Numeraire is a project issued by a hedge fund that allows trading algorithms and generics to be sold. It is also possible to buy Machine Learning data. Basically it is possible to create dapps in Python and R to predict the stock market, using Machine Learning.
is related to AI and automation (with and without blockchain access). It is possible to create AI-based dapps, it uses Cosmos SDK and is also compatible with Ethereum.
Artificial Lquid Intelligence are AI/modifiable NFT. By writing a text it is possible to create an avatar, which can then be transformed into an NFT.
Covalent on the other hand sell APY tools and blockchain data. It is possible to create dapps, NFT, trading algorithms, etc
Probably the most interesting projects are The Graph, Numeraire and Ocean Protocol however there is no real use behind it. The last 2 are also quite dated projects, i.e. born for years and which have never exploded in terms of usability. I give a funny example. A few days ago, Near Protocol jokingly tweeted that it was adding artificial intelligence to its protocol. Guess what happened to the Near token...!?! You can see it in the image on the right (graph). Lots of FOMO and speculation, just use the MAGIC WORD "AI".
