Not 10 Minutes After I Write and Publish My r/CryptoCurrency Post...

Sometimes all I can do is shake my head. Mere minutes after I published my post my r/cryptocurrency yesterday about how the ecosystem was in good shape and thriving in spite of the immense growth and the issues that come with it boy was there an eruption that occurred on the subreddit. The issue at hand is something that I do not think people will be surprised to hear about and it has to do with now that MOONs are a listed token and have an official value more people have joined/begun to participate in the subreddit again. This has resulted in a flurry of articles being posted about the same thing and has forced the Mods to really crack down.

The issue though is that there is a significant lack of communication from the Mods and now posts people write are being removed because two other people posted a link about the same thing. I personally went from never having any posts removed to having 3 or 4 over the last few weeks which really disincentives writing a post when someone with a link can squeeze you out. Sadly that is not all though. The Mods are also removing posts citing rules that do not exist or removing a post based on the title without looking at what the actual topic is about.

Yesterday when I was talking to the Mod who removed my post it got even worse than I would have ever imagined. I posted in on r/CryptoCurrencyMeta and the Mod responded to my Modmail criticizing me for posting about it and then muted and banned me for 24 hours. The violation they cited was Rule 5 for duplication... the issue is Rule 5 does not cover duplication at all in its 28 bullet points and I do not think that the Mod was super happy I pointed that out based on their reaction.

Currently, there are a ton of posts on the Meta demanding answers and power checks to the Mods as this has become such a big issue. They have even moved into the Daily Discussion thread as well and deleted and banned people for not posting "on topic". The comment in question was wishing everyone a good three-day weekend. Comments like this are common in the Daily and all of this is coming out of left field without any sort of notice. If you are interested in seeing the chaos check out the r/cryptocurrencymeta!
