Nine Chronicles, a Planetarium-based RPG and tactics game, has officially announced it will launch the first Arena battle season with a $2 million prize pool. Arena Season 0 comes with 896,000 NCG in token prizes and the opportunity to win exclusive NFTs. The battle arena is one of the most awaited features of the game.
Arena Season 0 will start on September 8th and last almost a whole month until October 6th. The announcement that Nine Chronicles is finally getting a battle arena significantly boosted activity on the platform in the past 24 hours. While the number of unique active wallets dropped insignificantly, the number of transactions processed increased and surpassed 127,000. Most importantly, the volume generated via Nine Chronicles rose by more than 336%, smashing through the $500,000 mark.
Additionally, the number of transactions processed by the platform’s smart contracts has been steadily rising over the past 30 days. Alongside it, the number of unique active wallets interacting with the game also remained steady.
These are very good stats for Nine Chronicles, especially in preparation for the Arena Season 0 launch. Interestingly, the game is also ranked at 24th place in the overall DappRadar Games Ranking, monitoring data from numerous blockchains, including leaders like Ethereum and BINANCE Smart Chain.
Nine Chronicles Arena Season 0
With Arena Season 0, Nine Chronicles is introducing a completely new game mechanic for its fans. Players will be able to challenge other players in direct battles. Not only that, but players will also get a chance to stake NCG. Staking the native Nine Chronicles token will allow players to receive exciting NFT rewards. Additionally, according to the official announcement, developers will pay close attention to social media reactions and adjust accordingly for upcoming seasons.
In order to promote the new game functionality, Nine Chronicles will also release a hefty rewards program with the launch of Arena Season 0. There will be two main rewards pools – one monthly arena reward for all participants worth 448,000 NCG total and four weekly arena rewards for the top 500 players worth 448,000 NCG total. This brings the total rewards pool to more than 890,000 NCG. At current prices, that’s more than $2 million in play-to-earn rewards.
To be eligible for Arena Season 0 battles, players must reach level 17 in Nine Chronicles. After that, they get the chance to battle in the arena. Nine Chronicles has created a special Portal where players can check current rankings and possibly claim rewards.
