HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! ????!
Without further ado, here are some lessons that I have learned from the 1.5 billion dollar bull wave:
1. Telegram is actually not a good place to find airdrops. I was so eager to get some BAO from Bao.Finance that I sent a scammer 0.0029 ETH in "gas fees" before I checked the official Discord to make sure there was actually a Telegram Airdrop. To be fair, they played me well. Sent me an extra "random bonus" and told me there were only 4 hours left to withdraw.
2. Never invest money that you can't afford to lose (I'm lucky I didn't do this ??). RIP iCream, but we'd all like you back.
3. Strong hands are rewarded. If you believe in something, don't turn your back on it. Kebab ftw.
4. A well-timed sell (and/or buy) is also really nice.
5. Sometimes you do want that transaction to go really fast (or at least just not fail).
6. Should have bought some EOS.
6,5. Glad I didn't FOMO in on Elrond at $200 (I got some at $55 :] ).
7. Stablecoins are how Curve works. That's kind of weirdly cool since it's like feeding its users economic turbulence...
7,5. If data can carry consciousness, I guess that's not the best news for your sanity.
8. RAM is definitely worth some of my TLM.
8,5. The WAX chain is pretty dope.
9. Maybe the value in your long-term portfolio is kind of in the coins you have and not necessarily the fiat equivalent. I await the day that this is true. The concept of utility coins is really cool and we're just barely starting to see it happen. Like with Helmet, for example. I didn't expect something like the iCream hack to happen, so I didn't bother to learn how to use it, but it has a real utility. Helmet is the only insurance token that I have looked into, but there are other insurance tokens like Soteria.
