Mysterium is a new Polygon-based VPN service that has caught the attention of crypto enthusiasts all over the world. In the past seven days, the platform attracted 2788% more unique active wallets, bringing the total number of users to almost 8000.

With more than 12.600 transactions processed in the past seven days alone, Mysterium’s mainnet journey begins with a bang. The dapp has already attracted more than 1800 node operators to the Mysterium network, and this number is bound to keep growing as more crypto users find the benefits of the pay-as-you-go VPN service.

Amidst all the games, NFT collections, and DeFi protocols, Mysterium is a product that stands out. Clearly, there’s a novelty factor here, as we the spike in activity when they launched on the Polygon mainnet on November 22nd. Fast transaction speeds and near-zero transaction fees make usage of the dapps’ services easy for users looking for a VPN and privacy protection.

What is Mysterium VPN?

Mysterium VPN offers an innovative IP-address protection service for which customers can pay in cryptocurrency. VPN services have become one of the most sought-after products on the internet. They allow users to browse securely, without revealing their geographical location, or other personal information stored in their IP address.

Mysterium brings cryptocurrency interoperability to the table. Thanks to its Polygon integration, Mysterium accepts cryptocurrency payments for VPN services. Not only that, there are no subscriptions or monthly payments on the platform. You pay for what you use in a pay-as-you-go structure. Mysterium only charges for the internet traffic you use and nothing else.

Additionally, Mysterium supports all major computer and smartphone operating systems. You can download the app for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android. Interestingly, the platform also claims to successfully bypass geo-locator content blocks. This potentially means users can gain access to locked location-based content on streaming services like Netflix and Hulu from anywhere in the world.

Data and privacy protection are foundational elements of the crypto movement as a whole. It is true that Bitcoin started a financial revolution. However, one of its primary purposes was to ensure the anonymity of users. VPN services like Mysterium aim to bring that level of anonymity and privacy to your everyday internet browsing.

DappRadar will continue monitoring Mysterium as the platform progresses, following its mainnet launch. To find more Polygon-based dapps, check out the detailed DappRadar Polygon Rankings.
