Last year's season, just like two years ago, was very abundant in noble mushrooms. It's just that last year's season was very delayed in the area where these natural wonders are obtained.
Zeszloroczny sezon podobnie jak ten z przed dwoch lat byl bardzo obfity w szlachetne grzyby. Tyle tylko, ze sezon zeszloroczny byl bardzo opozniony w rejonie w ktorym pozyskuje te cuda natury.
Normally, the season started in mid-September and came to an end at the end of October. I mean, of course, only boletus mushrooms, because we know that a whole lot of other edible mushrooms appear in October. Last season, the real collecting, the so-called top season, started only in October and lasted until mid-November. But this is nature, we have no influence on it.
Normalnie sezon zaczynal sie w polowie wrzesnia, aby pod koniec pazdziernika chylic sie ku koncowi. Mam na mysli oczywiscie tylko borowiki, bo wiadomo, ze w pazdzierniku pojawia sie cala masa innych jadalnych grzybow. W zeszlym sezonie prawdziwe zbieranie tak zwany top sezon zaczal sie dopiero w pazdzierniku i trwal az do polowy listopada. Ale taka jest natura, nie mamy na to wplywu.
Most of the collections are old beech forests, which are abundant in the Krakow-Czestochowa Upland. There you can count on firm, healthy and huge boletus specimens. There were also a lot of them in pine and spruce forests, but they differ in size, color and, above all, health. Most specimens from spruce and pine forests were only suitable for taking photos - they were incredibly worm-infested.
Wiekszosc zbiorow to stare lasy bukowe, ktorych nie brakuje na Jurze Krakowsko-Czestochowskiej. Tam mozna liczyc na jedrne zdrowe i ogromne okazy borowika szlachetnego. W lasach sosnowych i swierkowych bylo ich rowniez spor, lecz roznia sie one wielkoscia kolorystyka, a przede wszystkim zdrowotnoscia. Wiekszosc okazow z lasow swierkowych i sosnowych nadawala sie jedynie do zrobienia zdjecia - byly zaczerwione niesamowicie.
But beech forests are not only about mushrooms. I love walking there completely aimlessly, even if there is nothing to collect. It is a place full of peace, birds singing, beautiful smells and colors.
Ale lasy bukowe, to nie tylko grzyby. Uwielbiam tam spacerowac zupelnie bez celu, nawet jak nie ma nic do zbierania. To miejsce pelne spokoju, spiewu ptakow, pieknych zapachow i kolorow.
This unsightly-looking monster weighed 900 g and surprisingly was healthy. But due to its dimensions, it was only suitable for drying - and so it happened. Last year we collected a lot of kitetails, the excess of which I had to freeze and dry. But thanks to this we have nice supplies for the winter and for delicious mushroom dishes.

W zeszlym Nazbieralismy rownie bardzo czubajki kani, ktore nadmiar musialem zamrozic i ususzyc. Ale dzieki temu mamy fajne zapasy na zime, i na pyszne potrawy z grzybow.

I already miss spring, the greenery of the forest, the smell of sun-warmed pine, whose fragrant essential oils begin to wander through my nostrils. Until spring!
Tesknie juz za wiosna, za zielenia lasu, za zapachem rozgrzanej sloncem sosny, ktorej wonne olejki eteryczne zaczynaja wedrowac po moich nozdrzach. Byle do wiosny!
