Hello there, I'm Byron from Canada and I paint zombies. I also paint movie monsters from time to time, like these 3 iconic fiends.
Count Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster and the Wolfman were commissioned almost a decade ago from an art collector turned friend who loved horror movies. I painted 2 different versions of the triptych and let him choose the one he liked the most.
I wish I could remember if these were the first or the second set.
These 3 movie monsters have been hanging on my living room wall for years now and when I took them down to photograph, my kids noticed their absence. :)
I like these three because they really show that stage in my artistic journey when splatter and thrown paint was experimented with. The piercing eyes of Dracula are a stark contrast to the dark sorrowful eyes of Frankenstein's Monster while the Wolfman hints at the kinetic nature of the beast inside us. The Wolfman is also a little bit self portraitish to me and my more hairy out of control past.
All three paintings are approximately 8"x10" and will ship flat with some prints and a certificate of authenticity to anywhere in the world.
