Do repost and rate:

For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.

Tonight we will be doing it as it should be done after pumping down the volume last time, tonight we will Turn up Da Bass. And hopefully, overwhelm you with sounds that have been on stuffy shelves for way too long.

Kicking it off with a personal hero:

Roberto Concina (3 November 1969 – 9 May 2017), known professionally as Robert Miles, was an Italian record producer, composer, musician, and DJ. I had to choose between Children and One and One

Hard choice to make but this next song really shows his composer skills during those early days.

1. Children - Robert Miles

Let?s submerge ourselves a bit longer in great beats and entrancing hooks, from the breathtaking movie "Das Boot(1981)" this is a remix of the main theme song originally composed by Klaus Doldinger.

2. U 96 - Das Boot

If you just enjoyed that classic you might wanna listen to this classic version of Das Boot as well.

Alex Christensen & The Berlin Orchestra - Das Boot

One, Two Three AM Eternal..... Of course, we could not leave out KLF and looking back this is probably not even their best song, but it was the song that made me as a young kid join these Timelords in the Tardis

3. The KLF - 3AM Eternal

To stay Faithful to my Indie DJ roots how godlike I felt when I could play this song in my church with my following going berzerk. One of my All-Time Favs.

4. Faithless - God Is a DJ

Of course, I had to throw in a little gem a very underrated group it?s almost as good as Belgian chocolate ...milk chocolate and believe it or not She can walk on water.

5. Milk Inc. - Whisper

Alright, that?s the I am playing it nice part now we are gonna play rough with hardcore feelings and raving idiots from the cradle of happy hardcore....the Netherlands.

6. Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Hardcore Feelings

Next to that little country, there is Germany which also did an amazing job in producing terrible Euro Dance Trash..... but it was not all bad. There was this guy....this Hyper Hyper guy that liked it loud and wondered if he had enough money to pay for the fish.

7. Scooter - How Much Is The Fish?

Cover Time already? Take me back to those hardcore days where we thought we would be forever young.

8. Interactive - Forever Young

And this song is also a cover well sort off, Carl Orff would probably turn around in his grave and that was exactly why this song was forbidden. Carl wasn't dead long enough to use the sample for free.....but everything that is prohibited by law tastes and sounds better and therefore this son sold like crazy.

8.a Apotheosis - O Fortuna (1992)

To prove that this type of Terror was not limited to Europe I wanted to end this trip with a very happy hardcore tune from indeed an American DJ/Producer. Don?t take this as advice, it?s just a song.

9. ROB GEE - ECSTASY, YOU GOT WHAT I NEED

What the fluff are midnight gems?

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that?s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it?s time to finally take it to the streets.

Hope you enjoyed this slightly confronting wave of amazing music and you still feel like joining me on the next trip as vol. 35 of Midnight Gems is coming soon.
