Of course, maps.cz and localization were introduced. It turned out that we were standing in front of the queue. Queues for what? The hills here are not special, a bit like the Beskid Niski Mountains.

Okazalo sie, ze stoimy przed wejsciem do kolejki. Kolejki do czego? Wzgorza tu niespecjalne, troche jak Beskid Niski.
But after a thorough exploration of the area, it turned out that on the mountain, which can be climbed or reached by cable car, there is a 7th century Monastery. We didn't think twice - let's go.

We didn't feel like going up the hill on foot, because we had already traveled over 20 km to the canyons, so we decided to use the cable car. A very pleasant ride for 1 lari per person both ways, so a total of PLN 3.5 for two people.
Nie chcialo na sie wchodzic na piechote pod gorke, bo mielismy juz ponad 20 km w nogach maszerujac do kanionow, postanowilismy skorzystac z kolejki. Bardzo przyjemna przejazdzka za 1 lari od osoby w dwie strony, czyli w sumie za dwie osoby wyszlo to 3,5 zl.
We drove up the mountain and saw the beautiful Chkondid Monastery, with a bell tower and adjacent buildings. The cathedral was built at the end of the 7th century and was built on the roots of an old oak tree. It is still a jewel of Georgian culture.
Wjechalismy na gore, a naszym oczom ukazal sie piekny Klasztor Chkondid, z dzwonnica i przyleglymi budowlami. Kadedra powstala pod koniec VII wieku, a zbudowana zostala na korzeniach starego debu. Stanowi do dzisiaj klejnot Gruzinskiej kultury.
The monastery is the resting place of the Georgian King Bagrat IV. In the main cathedral, which we visited, there are beautiful frescoes from the 14th century.
Klasztor jest miejscem spoczynku gruzinskiego Krola Bagrata IV. W glownej Katedrze, do ktorej zajrzelismy zachowaly sie przepiekne freski z XIV wieku.
Not far from the cathedral stands a miniature stone church called the Cathedral of the Holy Nativity or Chikvanebi Church, and the tall tower that was the place of prayers is visible.
Niedaleko katedry stoi miniaturowy kamienny kosciol zwany Katedra Swietego Bozego Narodzenia lub kosciolem Chikvanebi, a widoczna jest wysoka wieza, ktora byla miejscem modlitw.
We also climbed the bell tower with two huge bells and a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
Weszlismy rowniez na dzwonnice na ktorej znajduja sie ogromne 2 dzwony, i rozposciera sie z niej piekny widok na okolice.
Returning to our accommodation base means, of course, contact with the ubiquitous cows roaming wherever they want and beautiful views of the crystal clear river in Martvili.
