Hey, dear readers. Today is the 2nd day of my daily posting, here on Publish0x. Let's see if I can make a higher streak than that. Anyway, in this article I'll tell you how I made my own SLP Token, for about 3 satoshi. It's called Mylk (YKL) and it's absolutely useless. However, that still makes me knowledgable enough for me to tell you how to make one of these currencies.
Step 1: A wallet
Firstly, in order to start making your token of the future, you'll need to download a BCH wallet that allows you to do this. Personally, I think that you should use Electron Cash.
Step 2: Balance
So that you can make your SLP token, you need to deposit to your wallet until you get a balance of 0.0001 BCH. This is not a large amount, and you probably won't spend all of it while making the currency, however it's still better to have a higher balance, as you might need to pay miner fees for transferring your token to other wallets.
Step 3: Creation
Once you have obtained enough money in your wallet, navigate to the tokens page in the wallet, as shown in the screenshot below.
At the bottom of this page, you will see a button clearly stating Create New Token. As you would expect, this is the button you are required to click. Once the modal has opened, you need to fill in some info. Come up with an original name, and fill in the first box. For the next box, you will be required to make a shortened name for your SLP, a.k.a. a symbol, similar to BTC, ADS or TRX. Make sure to google for the symbol you want, so that you don't use a symbol that has already been taken by a different token. If you are creating a more special and realistic token, create a website and pdf file with info about your project and fill in the next box with this info (although it is not required, it's still a good idea). The next box is decimal places. Simply write down how many decimals you want your token to have. The last thing you need to enter is the quantity. Again, this is quite simple - the maximum amount of this token. If you uncheck the fixed supply button, you can create more of your token in the future.
