The Loopring (LRC) team announced on Dec. 15 that it would shut down the Loopring Exchange V1 and its relayer service in 2021. The exchange has already released Loopring Exchange V2 along with its Loopring 3.6 protocol upgrade.
- Deposits, transfers and trading on Loopring Exchange V1 will be disabled from Jan. 1, 2021, and pending orders will be cancelled; only withdrawals will be available
- From Feb. 1, 2021, the V1 exchange URL will go offline, and users will have to interact directly with Ethereum to withdraw their assets
- The post states that users should move their assets to Loopring Exchange V2 or the Loopring Wallet, which was released a few weeks ago
- So far, over $20m has been withdrawn from Loopring Exchange V1, with $2.8m remaining in the contract
- Loopring announced the release of Loopring v3.6 in Sep. 2020, which brought several improvements, including an AMM
