Matic Network (MATIC), a layer-2 side-chain scaling solution for public blockchains, has been making a concerted effort to drive adoption among the most popular blockchain games on the market.
The latest game to integrate with Matic is Light Trail Rush, an arcade-style vehicular brawler fueled by non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

According to the recent announcement, the integration is part of a larger update coming on March 12, where multiple new features will be added to the game, including a new user interface, polished gameplay and a personal stats system.
The move to Matic Network is part of a larger effort to improve the scalability of NFT-based gaming by lowering transaction costs and timing.
“[Light Trail Rush] NFTs will be seamlessly accessible in-game with fast, easy and secure off-chain transactions on the sidechain built by Matic Network,” reads the announcement. “There will be no additional action needed on [the player’s] end.”
Light Trail Rush is scheduled for full release in June. You can claim a free Steam key for the alpha version here.
