Just today, Conflux announced its partnership wiith the LayerZero to produce blockchain-based SIM card (BSIM), co developed by Conflux and China Telecom. Alledgely, users will be able to transfer assets and messages between chains using LayerZero.

Conflux X China Telecom

Conflux is a Singapore-registered public blockchain with a rare foothold in China (After joining hands with China telecom). In a Tweet, they declared that China Telecom, 2nd largest wireless carrier in China, has partnered with Conflux to develop Blockchain-enabled SIM cards - BSIM. Afterwards, China Telecom will launch the first BSIM pilot program in Hong Kong later this year. The SIM cards are meant to allow users to securely store private keys on their phones.

Conflux claims that the new BSIM card can store NFTs and transfer and exchange them. With China Telecom's technology, the BSIM has 10-20 times more storage space than regular SIM cards, so you can easily access decentralized apps and digital communities.

As BSIM cards await their pilot program launch, Conflux’s usership has increased by 20,000 transactions per day...

LayerZero X Conflux

LayerZero is a cross-chain messaging protocol that cuts down on intermediaries needed to move assets or information between chains. Ethereum layer-2 protocols Arbitrum and Optimism are the most-used LayerZero nodes.

Conflux is a Layer 1 blockchain network that uses two different ways to process transactions: proof-of-work and proof-of-stake. It is said to be the only public blockchain that is allowed in China. Conflux has worked with companies like McDonald's China and Oreo and is backed by the Shanghai government.
