A couple of years ago, I signed up with Gab, a Christian based social media site. Gab has often brought up hot topics that infuriated the usual 'woke' club. Gad once relied on Visa and Paypal to collect payments for their services but was banned by Visa and Paypal for a couple of years now because Gab refused to take down any articles or videos they didn't agree with.
Well, Gab is still going strong and has since taken matters into their own hands by developing their own payment processing system. Paypal, on the other hand, saw their stock fall six percent just in the last few days after they sent policy update notices to users threatening to fine users $2,500 if they spread misinformation. Within days, Paypal reversed course after a huge backlash which included mass account cancellations and getting featured on Zero Hedge. Word also spread fast on Twitter and other social media sites.
First of all, I don't think they have the legal right to basically steal your money this way in the first place and it would likely have opened a pandora's box of litigation against the company. Paypal backtracked and stated the policy update was made in error. This is obviously an outright lie and in itself, misinformation!
They backtracked because we the people have had enough of this woke agenda and we're not putting up with it any longer and Paypal is now in damage control, trying to repair this major screw up but this time, they're not getting away with it. They have been banning and withholding money from account users for a few years now. This is for Paypal. At first, it went under the radar but not anymore. As more of us wake up to the woke agenda, which is basically, 'go along with the narrative or else', these corporate behemoths such as Paypal are heading for a brick wall at bullet train speed.
The great thing is that there are those, such as GAB that are fighting back and people like me, who chose to do the right thing and sever any association with woke companies and their woke ideologies. As of this morning, I no longer have a Paypal account. I WILL NOT support such a company that threatens its users in any way and then spreads its own misinformation by outright lying and stating it was 'all an honest mistake'.
A BIG MISTAKE! Send a clear message to Paypal. Go woke, go broke...
