It's been a while now since I gave my last and today, I hit a milestone, earning my 200th TFuel token after running Theta's Edge Node for a few months on an old, spare computer I had laying around, doing nothing otherwise.

I joined about a year ago and by watching some of their livestreams, was able to earn a few TFuel there as well. I was even gifted a free NFT while watching the Orion space capsule coming round the moon on its journey back home a couple weeks ago.

It wasn't until this summer that I dived in an decided to set up a Theta Edge Node. The network is decentralized and relies on Edge Nodes for simple tasks for which a small reward in TFuel is given. The usual tasks my computer completes are encoding for video uploads to Theta TV.

At this point, I'm earning about 40 TFuel a month. One TFuel is worth just under a nickel but has the potential to go higher as the Theta network grows. I could probably get more if I had a faster computer but for now, this is good enough for me.

TFuel can be used at ThetaDrop.com to buy NFTs or gifted to your favorite streamer. I gave the NASA and Pet Collective channels each one TFuel and in turn, I received a 'Donator Club' badge. This increases my 'experience points' which increases my chances of earning more free NFTs and TFuel!

I also made my first TFuel transfer from the wallet assigned to my node to my TDrop wallet. I only moved 20 tokens for my first move to be sure they'd move successfully to TDrop and fortunately, everything went smoothly. I'm very much a newbie and so far, my rating for the Theta Edge Node is A+ for simplicity of use and its rewards in tokens.

Honestly, it's just too easy to earn free TFuel this way. The cool part is I'm contributing to the growth  of Theta's decentralized network. If you have an old comp lying around that still runs good, all you have to do is download the edge node software and click 'run', although it's a good idea to get familiar with The Theta network before getting started.

For example, the Theta Edge Node can also be used to view livestreams. By connecting my computer to my large screen TV, I can watch streams on the big screen. The Edge Node is also critical as it is through this that a streamer broadcasts to their channel on Theta TV. So, not only can you earn TFuel running the Edge Node but also have TV broadcast capabilities.

I've also got the CryptoTab 'mining' browser running full time on the same computer. So far I've earned over 2,300 Satoshis at no cost to me and yes, they've paid out to my wallet, over two separate transactions. Both Theta and CryptoTab programs are now running well together.
