It all started with a token.
Hive users @eocinstant @taintedblood and @a1-shroom-spores gathered together around creating a gardening tribe through #hive-engine. We wanted to create a general gardening project which didn't exist yet on the hive blockchain. We each chipped in 33 Tokens and minted the #Edenbuxx token! Then we began saving up for the remaining 3K Hive to launch the tribe.
Part 2: The Robot.
While we were saving up for a tribe front end, we began to discuss heavily how expensive it was and if it was a viable option. Launching a tribe front end is several hundred dollars, even with Hive being only around 15 cents at the time. @ecoinstant began pitching the idea of coming up with some type of tribe work around.
Eventually we decided to sell all our #BEE tokens on hive-engine and build a voting bot!
We created a community on #peakd called "Edenbuxx" and created a voting account called @ecosaint. We loaded up @Ecosaint with Hive power and other hive-engine tokens.
THEN WE CREATED BOT CODE!
Well @taskmanager and @ecoinstant coded it through a grant from @brofund. Here is how the bot works: for every 10 #Edenbuxx you stake on hive-engine, you can call the voting account {@ecosaint} on any post. In other words, if you stake 100 Edenbuxx, you can call 1o votes per day from @ecosaint. You can even vote for comments and self vote!
Part 3: Multi chain.
Recently we have begun to discuss the idea of creating a presence on other blockchains. We created a profile on #blurt which is a Steem clone without downvoting. The #Blurt profile is very recent and we havent posted there yet.
We are posting on Steem because it is so similar to Hive. We are considering making a voting account {this account} to hook up to a bot like we did on Hive. We would power up Steem Power and allow people to vote for their #gardening content here on Steem. We've noticed the #gardening tag doesn't have many votes behind it on Steem.
Part 4: Gardener Badge.
We created an official gardener badge on Peakd, which we can reward to any user with gardener content by following them. This manual badge allows us to have a working whitelist for things like free airdrops of #Edenbuxx tokens.
Part 5: Taking Over The World?
All jokes aside, we have many exciting plans for the future. We recently hosted a 100 Hive competition. We are powering up token sells from Hive-engine into the voting account @ecosaint. You can check out our Edenbuxx community on Hive HERE - - > https://peakd.com/c/hive-114674/created
This is basically the central hub for our whole "tribe work around" system for #Edenbuxx tokens.
You can always check our community page for the latest #Edenbuxx update. You can subscribe to THIS blog {@Edenbuxx} for any updates on the Steem chain. Our main focus has been on Hive, but we are quickly branching out to other chains. We aim for Edenbuxx to be a multichain project. For now, there is only one official @edenbuxx token, which is on Hive-engine.
