A good news for all blockchain gaming fans since Blockchain Game Alliance - an association that aims to promote the blockchain technology inside gaming companies - launched the very first award for the best NFT.
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a special type of cryptographic token which represents something unique: exciting use cases for non?fungible tokens (NFTs) are cropping up all the time — and they’re even being touted as the future of the gaming industry, the art industry, and even in some cases the real estate business.
How does it work?
The NFT Awards program honors innovation and creativity throughout the blockchain industry, celebrating the best non-fungible tokens (NFTs) minted each year. The NFT Awards program is co-hosted by Enjin and DEA. Anyone can participate, nominating and submitting favorite tokens, discovering them or voting for the best NFT in each category.
Submissions will be judged by experts from the tech, gaming, and blockchain industries.
- Nobuyuki Idei, CEO and director of Sony;
- Shigeki Morimoto, programmer and game designer of Pokemon;
- Sherry List, leader of Microsoft Azure Heroes NFT reward program;
- Nicolas Pouard, director of the Blockchain Initiative at Ubisoft.
The core judging panel will be supported by the "Blockchain Council," featuring industry leaders and BGA members like Aave, Animoca Brands, Chiliz, CoinDesk, ConsenSys, Dapper Labs, DappRadar, DappReview, Enjin, IOST, OMG Network, OpenSea, Rarible, The Sandbox, Ultra, and DEA.
NFT Awards 2020 categories
This award have different categories:
- NFT chosen by the public;
- Most valuable NFT, which is the one that has been sold at the highest price throughout the year;
- The best NFT in the gaming world, judged mainly in the appearance of the token’s features;
- The most innovative NFT, which has made it possible to create something more than just technology itself;
- NFT with the most beautiful graphics, so the one with the biggest impact;
- The one with the greatest potential for mass adoption;
- Most traded NFT: always throughout the year, the one that has been bought and sold the most times;
- The best NFT in charity, i.e. those that have been used to raise funds and donate them for a good cause;
- The best NFT utility, i.e. the one that has had the greatest impact on this sector in terms of utility.
