I was watching a series on Netflix, when I heard the quote “In a world where you can be anything, be kind” and then I hit the rewind, just to check I heard correctly.
The internet sure gives attribute to many for this quote, but I’m going to go with quote by ‘Unknown’ for this one as I am not too sure.
Since hearing this, I think this should be basically be my mantra, and I don’t think I will go much wrong in my everyday life by following this. It is simple. It is easy to understand. It is easy to practice. Doesn’t require any specific skills to be good at it.
Kindness is a universal language. You don’t have to go out of your way to shower someone with kindness, it can be applied to all aspects of life. Be a little kinder to yourself. Be kind to your doorman. Be kind to your colleagues. Be kind to your family. Even if you are having a bad day, just by being kind to someone, can alleviate your mood.
No excuses going forward. I would like to be a kind person starting from my thoughts that become actions.
