The 3rd edition of the FTX Kenya Campus meetup was held at Pwani University, Kilifi County, the coastal province of Kenya, East Africa.

The event was open to all Pwani University students who wanted to learn more on cryptocurrencies and the basics of FTX exchange, the 4th largest crypto trading exchange by volume.

Approximately 160 students attended the event where James Gachucha – the FTX Pwani campus ambassador – took them through introductions on cryptocurrencies and the FTX exchange. 

Leading the FTX team at the event, Mr. Alex Matu explained to the students the different ways they can earn from FTX, including opportunities beyond day trading such as:

• Staking
• Lending
• Initial Exchange Offerings (IEOs)
• Prediction markets.

They got an expert view of where the future is leaning to in terms of blockchain technology and how to benefit from this emerging market.

The Pwani University meetup was a success, an indication that the Kenyan youth are interested in pursuing market opportunities in the crypto space that fall outside traditional finance.
