I'm not your typical user of mainstream social media

I'm not your typical user of mainstream social media. The only two so-called mainstream apps for this kind that I'm using are youtube and Twitter. I use Twitter way more than I use youtube, but nevertheless, I'm into both of them. I am however blockchained for life likes to call himself.

Although not an avid cryptocurrency user I can say that I am however above the average user of blockchain technology and digital currencies, since I managed to make a living out of this thing and am highly involved in WEB3 social media(Hive).

There's a vlog that was recommended to me by a couple of close friends lately having as a guest a controversial figure from my country and although I'm not into this type of mundane shit I actually watched the whole thing this morning.

40 minutes of a car vlog that is not just about cars kept me really glued to the screen. The subject of the vlog is a sort of "Ken of this country", a multi-millionaire with a shady past rocking fancy cars and "shiny pussies" who has quite a life experience and a bag of words of advice for young plebs wanting to go big... in life.

At some point, the guy was asked by the interviewer what he recommends as business ideas or ways of making money(becoming rich) for young entrepreneurs. Among real estate and gold, he pointed out crypto as well, but he kind of mentioned that in a rush and also called it "hype". Blockchain technology and crypto for what they stand to are not hype at all.

DOGE, SHIB, BONK, and other shitcoins that made a bunch of plebs millionaires in a relatively short time are hype but the underlying technology behind cryptocurrency and the disruption potential this thing has is nothing about hype. Hive is not hype, Bitcoin either(a "store of security" actually) and despite the current market valuation of such assets, this thing is here to stay.

This type of people are the temporary passengers of this industry. They usually come in the middle of the bull market, make some money from it, if they do, and leave back to the trashy legacy system where they came from. They don't actually experience this world as much as they bet or speculate on it.

If I were a speculator I would probably be way richer than I currently am, but since I found out about crypto I tried to get into things that matter and make sense to me rather than getting into hype. Otherwise, I wouldn't be that much into Hive, cuz this thing is not hyped at all.

I would not disagree with this guy on the fact that you can make money out of crypto, quite a lot if you ask me, but in order to wrap your life around crypto and the pillars it stands for you need to get involved in projects, "be part of the transactions taking place on that chain", use the damn coins even if it's just for buying a coffee with em and "generate traffic and traction to your preferred projects".

Over the years I have spent more crypto than I actually HODLed and believe me I don't regret a thing about that. Again, I would have probably been richer than I currently am if played the cards differently but I wanted to make use of this tech more than I felt like speculating on it. I earn crypto, I spend crypto, and I talk crypto.

I'm in this thing full time and see no point in getting off this train any station soon ;). That's about it for now, I wish you all a great day and see you next time.
