Optimism; When creating the Layer-2 solution for Ethereum, it aimed to have a minimum number of shards in its network. This means using as much Ethereum code and infrastructure as possible. Optimism therefore aims to keep its code as simple as possible and work directly with existing codebases.
Optimism; It is an ecosystem that particularly emphasizes pragmatism. Pragmatism means utilitarianism, and for Optimism this means that the ecosystem is driven by users' real-world needs and constraints.
Optimism's blockchain design is built around the idea of ??long-term sustainability. This is of course only possible by establishing a scalable structure. For this, Optimism uses a technology called Optimistic Rollup and Ethereum's consensus mechanism. In this system, data blocks are created and executed on Layer-2, while user transactions are grouped and sent to Layer-1 (Ethereum). There is no mempool in Layer-2 and transactions are either accepted or rejected immediately. Thus, scalability is maintained while security is ensured through the Ethereum consensus mechanism.
In Optimism's system, transactions are sent directly to Ethereum without proof of validity and can be challenged within a certain period of time. After this period, the transaction is considered final.
Especially with the Bedrock update, there have been reductions in transaction costs and time.
Arbitrum (ARB)
What makes the Arbitrum ecosystem special ... ?
It enables you to perform faster and cheaper transactions safely on Ethereum, the most popular network. Arbitrum; It provides ease of use to developers.
It is one of the roll-ups most compatible with EVM. It allows developers to create smart contracts in all EVM compatible coding languages. Soon, Arbitrum will also make it possible to create programs with coding languages ??such as C and C++. This ease of use makes Arbitrum more advantageous for developers.
Its technology allows transactions to be processed faster and more economically without compromising security. Through the use of cross-chain bridges, Arbitrum facilitates the movement of tokens between different layers, increasing interoperability and flexibility in the cryptoverse.
My Last Words;Optimism (OP)Arbitrum (ARB) complement Ethereum very well. Projects started to return from the Ethereum network due to high transaction fees. It is clearly seen that two of the biggest reasons for this are Optimism (OP) and Arbitrum (ARB).
