I recently heard about in a PTC ad. Naturally, I had to click to see what it was all about as it was a title I was not familiar with. The game itself actually just recently launched, on February 14, 2023. So, let's take a closer look at what is, and what the project has to offer.
Gameplay
The developers wanted to make more than just a game, but a platform where users can interact with each other. The game can be accessed by any computer, tablet, or smartphone. There are constant updates to both the ecosystem and gameplay. The game is set in a fantasy world, where a certain unknown disaster has just occurred. A portal has just opened, unleashing a trove of monsters which the player must defeat. The player recruits from a variety of characters to do battle with the monsters.
By defeating these monsters, the player can gain the in-game currency, gems, which in turn can be exchanged for real money. Here's a shot of what the gameplay screen looks like:
In addition to fiat payouts, you can choose from a handful of cryptocurrencies:
- Dogecoin
- Bitcoin Cash
According to the Gemly homepage, payouts can be made for amounts as low as $0.10, though it is not quite clear what the minimums are for each given currency. They state they have paid out, as of this writing, $811 to 15,526 players. So everyone's made a nickel so far! But let's not forget; the game did just launch less than a week ago.
In the 20 minutes that I started playing, I was able to quickly advance through the tutorial and get the game running. You can deposit money for additional gems to get earnings quicker, or you can just earn for free, albeit at a much slower rate. The payout levels vary for the different cryptocurrencies offered. You need to rack up about $60 worth of gems for a Bitcoin withdrawal, while the levels are much lower for Tron and Dogecoin.
