Hydro, an open-source project from Hydro Labs for developing enterprise applications and infrastructure, today announced that the new Hydro dApp Store is officially open under community beta testing. It is currently live on the Rinkeby testnet where developers can begin to experiment.

In addition to continuing the work on the next set of store enhancements, the Hydro team has been building up a growing list of official 3rd party partners. These partners, which include Cardon, Hydrogen Platform, 3Box, and Totle have been listed in the Submit a dApp page and highlight APIs, SDKs, modular code or integrations that developers can use to move their projects forward.

The dApp store has also integrated a quick and simple way for developers to access common code that is necessary for most dApps along with featuring codebases for the following modules:

  • Hail – a security token smart contract, which is continuing to apply a few audit recommendations to its codebase and will be going into mainnet this month.
  • Vault – an advanced secure storage solution for digital assets is also making progress. It uses ReactJS and Web3 in its implementation.
  • Hydro Pay – a feeless peer-to-peer app is continuing to go through needed enhancements for its backend architecture, and is almost ready for production.

The Hydro dApp Store is a marketplace for decentralized applications, built on Hydro Snowflake, an identity protocol, and the backbone of the dApp store. Hydro’s mission is to become the public LEDGER for financial applications, empowering a new decentralized global economy. This ecosystem consists of standard smart contracts that can be used by financial applications, connected through APIs.

The Hydro team is currently holding daily, sprint and integration meetings to bring all updated codebase to the stores.
