How to get from Serendale to Crystalvale
Those already playing DeFi Kingdoms on Harmony will know that Dockmaster Maria is the one to visit when you need to bridge assets, and the Serendale Docks will host an in-game bridge to DFK Chain. JEWEL is needed for gas fees on DFK Chain, so first you must bridge some JEWEL tokens. A protocol is in place to automatically exchange JEWEL bridged onto the DFK Chain for the native gas token CRYSTAL. Most importantly, no special action is needed on the part of players to complete the transaction.
On March 30, the launch day, the only incentivized liquidity pool available will be JEWEL / xJEWEL. If you want to stake for CRYSTAL, you will also need to bridge xJEWEL in a separate transaction. If you do not yet have any xJEWEL, or would like more, you will first need to visit the Jeweler and deposit the appropriate amount of JEWEL, which will swap it for xJEWEL.
Remember that LP pairs must be made with equal values of each token, so you can decide on the number of JEWEL you want to stake and deposit 50% of that value to the bank to get an equivalent amount of xJEWEL. Make sure that you have bridged enough JEWEL to pair in equal amounts with your xJEWEL while still leaving some for fees. Once you have bridged your JEWEL and xJEWEL, click on “Travel to Crystalvale” to configure your wallet for DFK Chain.
Once you bridged assets, you can travel to Crystalvale through the Docks. The process to stake assets is the same as the process in Serendale. Pay a visit to Druid Ulfur in the Marketplace to pair your JEWEL and xJEWEL, and then deposit them in the Ice Gardens.
How do I get started if I am already an AVAX user?
If you configured your wallet for Avalanche, you will first need to go to game.defikingdoms.com to access the Outpost. Users are greeted at the Outpost by Snow Sage Ellia. You will find a bridge with her that allows you to move your AVAX to DFK Chain.
The Outpost also has a DEX in case you need to swap other assets unsupported by the bridge, either to AVAX or directly to JEWEL. Click on Get Started, and Ellia will guide you through the different options and help you configure your wallet for DFK Chain. Once bridged, players receive a small amount of gas for free to enable the swap of AVAX to JEWEL to use for future gas fees and to stake for CRYSTAL.

Getting Started on DFK Chain for new users
For those new to crypto, DeFi Kingdoms and DFK Chain will first need to go to https://game.defikingdoms.com. You will see a prompt to create either a COINBASE Wallet or METAMASK Wallet. Here, you can find a complete step-by-step guide on setting up a MetaMask wallet here.
After you have successfully installed your wallet, you will be given the option to visit either Serendale or Crystalvale. If you choose to enter Serendale, your wallet will be configured for the Harmony blockchain and allow you to buy ONE. For those more eager to enter Crystalvale, you will be brought to the Outpost so that you can buy AVAX on Avalanche. At the Outpost, you will meet with Snow Sage Ellia and find a bridge that allows you to move your AVAX to DFK Chain.
There are no differences regarding the opportunities available here, so perhaps choose the network you have maybe already used in the past to smooth the process.
