Today we will see how to create NFT on OPENSEA and Rarible.
It is not difficult to do this, the only problem is the fees which are very high in recent months. However, I underline that creating the NFT is completely free.
OPENSEA
On OpenSea the creation of the NFT is completely free (because it is transferred on-chain). A transaction will only be paid for the first time (whether it is to sell or load; to buy it must always be paid).
Let's go to the site: OpenSea (at this point you just have to connect your Metamask). Just go to "create" and then insert "image", "name", "link".
Other features to be included are "description" and social. As for the payment, it is possible to set a commission and choose the crypto for payment (ETH, WETH, Dai, USDC and any other erc20).
The NFTs made with the Collection Manager follow the Erc1155 standard (these NFT can be sold on any platform, even on Rarible).
"Supply cap" are the maximum copies for that NFT (later you will not be able to add more!). When you create an NFT you will not be a verified artist. To do this, click the Edit button mentioned above on your collection, scroll to the bottom, make sure you read and fulfill the requirements (finally click "submit for verification").
RARIBLE
In the "create" section of Rarible, we will be able to decide whether to create a single or multiple NFT (with higher supply / mint).
How do i choose? A single copy will give more value to your work. Beeple's NFT "Everydays: The First 5000 Days, 2021" sold for $ 69.3 million was limited to a single copy.
However, I recommend putting in a multiple edition, with a low supply (for example 30), also because to put it on sale we will have to pay a little gas (from 30 to 50 dollars).
In any case, the parameters to be customized are:
-Upload files (photos, videos, gif, mp4, etc) which will become our NFT (up to 30 megabytes)
-Put on sale (to put it on sale immediately)
- Instant sale price (with a 2.5% fee in case it is sold)
-Unlock once purchased (by setting this option we can reward the user who buys with a bonus, for example I can insert a link with a file, an airdrop, etc that the buyer can redeem)
-Choose collection (ERC721 if we want to create a collection, ERC1155 for multiple NFTs or directly Rarible; I recommend Rarible if you are not creating a collection)
-First name
-Description
-Royalties (you can set a% profit for each sale. If I sell my NFT to X and then this X sells it to Y, etc for each sale I will earn that income)
-Properties (it is optional, it depends if this NFT will be part of a game where I can set certain characteristics, etc)
Finally I'll do "create item". I will then have to pay the fees and confirm the operation. Our NFT will be ready to be sold (either through auctions or bought instantly. We will be paid in ETH on METAMASK itself).
