In the past when I was much more of a ignorant youngster I was always fascinated with hacking. that fascination gave me the motivation to learn more about hacking. But I Never thought I'd get so deep into it. let me tell you one of many stories of the mistakes I made in my youth using a computer. I am still new to writing so forgive me if it's not up to standard. Anyway let's get it started.
We all do bad things. It's in our blood. We aren't perfect. However some of the things we do are so drastic they go to the top of the list. What I pulled off felt like the best dream ever, but I was awake. No feeling will ever be on that level. I've even tried heroin and can say the feeling you get when you pull off something so big and impossible and feels like a dream but its REALITY was very and still is life changing when I think about it. I will never forget that.
But let me tell you what I did when I was about 17.
When I was 17-18 I got into a accident that broke my femur in half. Rolled a four-wheeler on my leg had to get surgery and titanium put in my leg. I couldn't work that summer. I had no money and was very upset I wouldn't be able to work that summer. I never felt more down in my life at that point. All I could do is sit around and play computer games for about 8 months until I was able to walk again. I knew I needed to figure out a source of income but how if i can't work?
I always watched my older brother spend thousands of hours on the computer playing games. but never generated any revenue. That's when I got the idea I could use my time wisely with a computer to profit in some way. told myself I would never waste my time online unless I was making money. Little by little I established a way to make money. I won't get into the details of the many things I attempted, But one in particular stuck out. It's crazy I even pulled it off in a way I did. But let's get started
There's this game called Entropia Universe. It's a sci-fi MMORPG that bases the currency on the game with real U.S dollars. You can deposit money and withdraw REAL money into your bank account. 10 of their us dollars is equal to 1 us dollar. This game is pretty much a casino, a place to gamble and have a chance to earn large amounts of money. The chances you will profit are very little. For example let's say you want to hunt or mine. Well you have to buy a weapon with ammo to hunt, and when you kill the mob/animal it drops loot. more then 95% of the time you will lose money. but I've witnessed people obtaining 10,000 $ USD worth of things from 1 kill. Anyways let me move on
One day on Entropia, I just wrapped up 3-4 schemes including of a gun on the game world 3500.00$ these were low level schemes i had going and I worked on one person for a year, just to borrow their 3,500$ gun and keep it. The rules of the game were "ALL TRADES ARE FINAL" so I knew I could get away with shit like this. But my hunger and greed became more and more and one day i went fishing for the right target. I was looking at if they had items or property worth thousands. I also looked for how people chatted and typed. Usually if you look for it you can tell who isn't that intelligent unless they are deliberately typing a certain way to trick you.
I found this guy and I took the chance that his typing reflects his intellect. I made a female avatar, and started chatting with the guy. started to have a friendship first few days and I was also seeing if he was just playing dumb. He wasn't. However he wasn't completely stupid. He wanted me to prove I was a girl by initiating a voice chat with him. And If I didn't this whole plan would fall apart. I figured out a solution though, a voice changer. But if you were a little smarter then him you'd know it was one. Plus one time I was talking to him it froze up didn't work for a few seconds and he heard my real voice. He said "oh that must be your brother" and somehow bought that. To be honest I can't believe he did. for Danish guy he wasn't the brightest. One thing that is very true, everyone in the world is stupid. Sure you have stupid Americans but from my experiences stupidity is universal and you'll find those levels of ideocracy in EVERY place in the world.
Anyways, once i befriended this person for a week I had to establish some way of getting his account information. I setup a msn phishing page, but before doing so I made sure the email he gave me was registered to his account. you could easily find out by going on the Entropia website initiating lost password page. Typed in his email and the website would tell you if it was registered to a account or not. Bingo. I knew i had to establish communications with him other then the game. Once i got him to chat on msn I said "Hey here's a pic of me" and send a phishing page I setup. I was worried he wouldn't buy it. but he did. From there I got into his email, found his other email addresses, found a copy of his passport and utility bill and was able to get Entropia support to reset his accounts name, password and email it was connected to.
I was IN. once I logged on I realized the armor he was wearing was 6-10k USD. I also discovered he owned one of the few ports in the game where you could fly people to planets (Before you could have your own ship. he had some of the rarest things in game and in a panic i contacted one person i played with and traded him everything without thinking about it. This was a mistake because after I transferred about 50k USD to a friend who played the game, 5 min later servers went down. they locked that account and my friends account. Later my friend somehow managed to get unbanned give him some things back and even still managed to keep a lot of things from this guy.
This mistake lead me to believe I failed and had no chance. My target ended up getting extra security for his account. the company of Entropia has a keychain and a card you scan with a one time access code to log on to your account. I knew I was fucked. I knew it was over. I had no chance. But then I decided to spoof a email and act like the support team. I talked him into giving me the one time code and not to log on for 2 days so I could "reset" every trade that happened when he was hacked. He fell for it. Once I realized he did I knew I had LITTLE time.
I knew i had to establish a plan to get the key items worth thousands but then I thought about my friend being banned. I knew the space hangar was worth 20,000 USD and I had to sell it FAST. who has that kind of money, especially in a game? Well This person who had the username NEVERDIE owned a bank and i sold him the deed ASAP. I knew this time I'd have to do things different given I got a second chance. What I ended up doing was desperately finding people to help me do this on TeamSpeak I didn't know.
I came up with a plan to flood the trade/item log. give/trade items not worth a super lot but still worth something to people. drop items create a HUGE distraction. The ones I got to make accounts I dropped the items worth thousands to. None of them got banned and they were able to WITHDRAW the money as cash. Because I had people I didn't know helping me many took the money and ran. I felt I deserved that after ruining this guy's life. I stole nearly 100k USD from this guy and in the end I ended up with like 7,000 because like I said I had such a small timeframe I had to find people and friends I knew in real life refused to help. Eventually on the game's website I found a forum topic talking about what I did.

I discovered not long after the people who made Entropia Universe had my real name and information. I still wonder to this day why they didn't act on it and try to charge me with a crime. But the game is based and Sweden, and I live in the U.S so i'm sure at the time it wasn't easy and cyber crimes weren't easy to open a case, especially internationally.
A lot of people I didn't really know well but helped me on the game walked away with thousands. Some pretty much told me theyre keeping what they got and giving me nothing in the end I didn't care about the money at that time I realized what I was capable of. As time went by I stopped doing shitty things like this online to people. I've even tried to contact the guy I scammed and apologize see if I could make it up to him. But no luck. I was really surprised I did not get in any trouble. I should've been in prison for what I did. Not too long after 4 Chinese people got arrested for scamming/hacking someone for 92k USD. But that was the last time I I tried scamming people on that game. I moved on to hacking people and stealing their bitcoin and it was a crazy and strange time but that's a whole other story.
I'm 30 now Instead of ruining peoples life's I try to help people that are targets of getting scammed/hacked. I was even offered a position in cyber security through the military, and they even knew the things I already did and were somewhat impressed. But I declined to join. I didn't want to be connected to the military in any way for personal reasons.
We aren't proud of some choices we make in the past. But some are crazier then others. Feel free to enter your comments below.
