How Crypto Saved My Life (COVID lockdowns era)

Crypto For The Homeless

We are a group of crypto enthusiasts who hand deliver food to the homeless. Most homeless people never utilize any form of charity, we exist to serve these humans. Our goal is to have volunteers all around the world.

We all have similar goals when it comes to crypto. And each crypto offers immense benefits to users in quite literally every country it seems. I’ve been in the space since Bitcoin was $300. Being a poor college student I didn’t have a dime to invest, let alone understanding of what it was.

Fast forward to February 2020, covid came to town. everyone was buying up toilet paper and waters, I remember thinking it was going to be the end of the world. (Prior to data showing it’s recovery rate and media overblowing it to be fair.

At the time I also had a very terrible drug problem. I checked myself into rehab, got clean, only to find out my family had kicked me out and drained my bank account. I’d given mom access to handle my bills while I was in the 30-day detox phase.

When the $1200 stimulus check hit- I immediately diversified $600 into a mix of VeChain and Ethereum Classic. I’d noticed the former had a solid foundation and roadmap, the latter having whales diving in when the price was less than $20

Fast forward to a few months later, I was (and still am) for lack of a better word, homeless. Thankfully that investment of $600 yielded about 400% over a few months (ETC I’m looking at you).

I was unable to get housing assistance. I was going hungry, I didn’t want to sell, but i knew I had to. That investment provided a roof over my head for 3 months and I’ll never forget how thankful I am for it.

it wasn’t the yield, it was how fast I was able to transfer the funds and pay for my motel. In less than 5 minutes I’d finally had a place to rest my head and not worry about where I’d be sleeping next week. My credit score was shot, family abandoned, had to cut off all friends to ensure I wouldn’t relapse.

TL;DR - crypto is the PEOPLE’S currency. When you actually experience the “I am my own bank” phase, it’s incredible. So here’s a shoutout to all the developers, the community, everyone. You guys keep me going and although the clouds are coming back so to speak, I just wanted to share my experience on how crypto can not only help the homeless. But it’s proven itself to be an effective method of self-governing banking and I couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who’s contributed and continues to contribute.

the media provided above is a legitimate project working to help feed the homeless. In California for example, homelessness is up 23%. Check out their website if you’d like to get involved.

I’d ask for donations but I believe it’s against the policy, so if you’re up for helping me get those interview clothes from GoodWill please use my referral links, they’d be greatly appreciated and we’d both benefit.

RollerCoin

A 1000 bonus satoshi for starters on RollerCoin. For those of you who play candy crush or mobile games this one actually pays you in crypto (ETH,BTC,DOGE, or their native currency RollerToken which can be used to buy miners)

Other than that, tipping at a higher % than you normally do would be immensely appreciated.

here’s to the crypto community. We are strong, we are invincible, and we’re just getting started….,
