Hey folks, I know you came here because you were attracted by the title, so let’s get right to it.
ICYMI, Hodlnaut is a Singapore-based crypto lending platform that delights its users with all kinds of promotions and giveaway contests. If you are already a Reddit user, you are in luck. It recently partnered with the mods of this subreddit called ‘r/rewardswithcrypto’ and pledged to sponsor the USDC prizes for the contest that the latter is organising.
So what contest, I hear you ask? It is called ‘Hodlnaut DCA Portfolio February 2022 Voting’. Basically, they will construct a hypothetical $100k portfolio based on the coins suggested by users. They will then see if this hypothetical portfolio beats a BTC or ETH portfolio at the end of the month.
Sounds fun? You betcha. All you have to do is to put forth a cryptocurrency and write a sentence or two about why you think it will excel in the crypto market. The only thing is that you gotta be swift and decisive because once a crypto is suggested by a user, it is taken and you can’t use it as your suggestion anymore.
So I arrived a tad late to the party. Unfortunately, my first two picks, SOL and Loopring, we’re already taken. But a good crypto writer practises flexibility, so I decided to place my bet on MANA (Decentraland).
And thank you for your patience. I’m now linking this article back to my title. What thrilled me was how the mod commented on MANA shortly after I had posted my response. Actually it wasn’t so much of a comment as it was a thoughtful critique. I joined this contest to try and get my hands on some USDC but it was nice that my choice garnered some respectful engagement, you know. The feeling of being taken seriously trumps all!
The mods also commented on fellow users’ choices, so it is a fuss-free way to get hold of other investors’ take on the crypto market via their bite-sized and deep-dove responses. Of course, we gotta DYOR but surely, sensing how others feel about a crypto we are optimistic about helps us make better informed decisions.
