Decentraland (MANA), a virtual reality platform owned by its users, has concluded its December Creator Contest and announced the winning submissions.
This contest ran from December 2 to December 15 and participants were tasked with creating a unique, interactive scene using Decentraland’s drag-and-drop Builder, which requires no coding ability to use. This is made possible thanks to Decentraland’s new smart items, which are fully configurable, allowing customization in terms of location and behavior. These items had to be used for event submissions to be considered for a reward.
The top-300 submissions were voted on by the community. From there, the panel of 4 judges selected the 45 best scenes to split the $50k in MANA and LAND prizes.
Here are the top-5 submissions:
5th: Space Odyssey : Escape Game — 25k MANA + LANDs (~$1.5k)
4th: Crystal Craze — 50k MANA + LANDs (~$2k)
3rd: Toki Land — 100k MANA + LANDs (~$5k)
2nd: Dreach-Fhoula – Tainted Blood — 150k MANA + LANDs (~$7k)
1st: After the Flood: Two Towers — 200k MANA + LANDs (~$10k)
