Ever since I discovered blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies my life has changed tremendously in a positive way. I am lucky enough to be able to live off of the use of such tech and I'm highly grateful for that.
I am an ardent advocate of blockchain and keep on reminding my real life friends, almost on a daily basis, in what ways blockchain has a fix for all sort of world's problems. Nevertheless I am not blind to absurdities in the crypto space and pure ignorance, when I see them.
I don't know how many of you remember the episode with Vitalik Buterin, who has received a huge amount of SHIB probably, about a year ago and has decided, out of "crypto morality" of course to burn all that SHIB. The burn was recorded on etherscan about 146 days ago. Do you know how much money all the meme coins would be worth now?

That's a lot of money, you can literally fix countries with that amount and our Vitalik has decided to simply burn them and waste potential wealth that could have been used for good purposes. There are people who literally starve around the world, there are elderly who would highly appreciate a helping hand and there's so much to do for a better world with all that money.
With all the respect for Vitalik, as he is a genius in crypto, but I find his attitude on this one as egoic and stupid. Yeah, geniuses are making stupid mistakes sometimes as well.
Take a look at Hive/Leofinance! It's the perfect example of a community of individuals where those individuals are using their personal wealth to generate wealth for others through the use of their stake via curating content. If all the curators that hit my posts with upvotes would have had Vitalik's mentality I wouldn't be here now.
I'd probably post once in a while, while being forced to work a shitty job and sell my free time for peanuts money, but couldn't afford anymore to be so consistent. I am what I am thanks to my efforts and for all these curators having a healthy crypto mentality, using their stakes to create wealth for others too, instead of burning tokens while holding $billions, in a dormant state, just for themselves.
Hasn't crypto been advocated for so long as an empowering financial freedom tool?... Well, that $34 billion would have come at hand for so many of us around the world. Even if he'd invested it in educating the world's citizens on blockchain and airdrop a small amount to every citizen willing to do that, as El Salvador has doen, and he'd achieve much more than what he did with burning all that SHIB.
I know SHIB is a shitcoin, I have never owned any, but sometimes you can go through some "alchemy processes" in order to heal the world. Credits go to zerohedge.com for reminding us of that famous "SHIB burn of Vitalik". Congrats on this one, mate! You could have literally changed lives though, if willing to do so, instead of burning all these tokens...
