When they first announced the formation of the NFT incubator there was not a lot known about when it would start or if it was ready to hit the ground running. I believed that it was going to be like the new DeFi chains BINANCE Smart Chain and Polygon and take a few weeks to really get going. Well, I guess I was wrong because just a few minutes ago the Twitter account for Harvest accounted for the first NFT was going on sale soon!
The Twitter post connected to a Medium article which gave us some insight into the NFT but honestly not much. What we do know is that it will be a 1 of 1 and will be a Harvest-themed NFT as the Harvest theme is a requirement for incubation. The artwork will be released when the auction goes live on October 7, 2021, at 4 PM UTC. The auction will be open for 72 hours and will be hosted on the OpenSeas marketplace and thus will be an Ethereum based NFT. An interesting thing to see moving forward is if they will all have reserve prices like this first one will have or if this is being done as a test run.
One of the biggest interesting features that I do not know much about because of the secrecy of it is that within the NFT there is code to give you access to the private Discord server where Artists, Artisans, and other higher-level Harvest NFT owners will also have access to talk and discuss different things. I am looking forward to seeing how this works out for the project as it has come together much faster than I had anticipated it would!
