Too Long; Didn't Read

Gosh is the world’s first ‘Freemium’ L2 solution. The entirety of git objects are on-chain. They now offer an Ethereum Layer 2 altrernative (much like Matic or Optimism), but the gas for your smart contracts is free.

Credibility

I was sipping my coffee this morning when an email notification popped up. It was from an old friend, Mitja Goroshevsky. The last time we sat down, he shared grand visions of a blockchain future while debating the fiasco of Tornado Cash, Solana, and Julian Assange’s cat. Today was a little more serious than that, though; GOSH has another game-changer in the works: becoming the world’s first ‘Freemium’ L2 solution.

In other words, they now offer an Ethereum Layer 2 alternative (much like Matic or Optimism), but the gas for your smart contracts is free. You heard me, free.

Set fire to the beacons, fellas; the watercoolers of the metaverse digital community are abuzz.

Now, before you roll your eyes at yet another blockchain headline, hear me out. This isn't your typical Ethereum product launch news. GOSH is crafting an Ethereum Layer 2 that's different. Why? Well, for starters, GOSH isn’t actually primarily an L2 solution. It’s a decentralized, fully on-chain, and open-source version of Github, or ‘Git On Chain DAO Platform’ if you prefer. And while I’m not a developer or even much of a techie, even I can tell the potential implications and uses for this are huge.

But, back to Mitja. He, confidently as ever, stated, “Any DAO on GOSH can transform into Ethereum Layer 2 with just a click." Simplified, perhaps overly so, but the essence of it was groundbreaking. In a world cluttered with promises of decentralization, GOSH seems to be one of the few making headway.

Now, in our previous interviews, Mitja had hinted at some big partnerships. Today’s email confirmed those suspicions. Twelve of them, in fact, from GBA to Viete. Not just names but innovators. They're not just jumping on a bandwagon; they're actively building the road ahead.

And the folks I've spoken to are buzzing. Gerard Dache of GBA sees GOSH as a torchbearer in the blockchain realm. And Joshua Bate, the mind behind DeSciWorld, views GOSH as a pivotal force in decentralized science.

But it's not all praise and no critique. Like any early-stage venture, GOSH has its skeptics. Some see it as the next big thing, while others are hedging their bets. Time will tell.

So, if your interest is piqued, and you're willing to navigate the cutting edge of blockchain tech, drop by gosh.sh. Peer into this world with a healthy dose of skepticism and curiosity.

For those keen on getting an insider perspective (and perhaps a story or two about Mitja's coffee preferences), you might want to ping Luca at [email protected].

To the untrained ear, GOSH stands for Git Open Source Hodler. But to those in the know, it’s a beacon in the expansive sea of blockchain.
