I've been investigating cryptocurrency and decentralized tech since the start of May 2020. This blog is an avenue of documentation and expression of my experience.
Three days ago on the 23rd of June Ghosts main net went live!
The teams Dex launched roughly 48 hours prior to Main Net and the wallet was touted to drop just after Main Net.
However we never quite got there, so what happened?

Roughly an hour before Main Net went live, I was looking through the instructions on how to swap my ERC token for the legit on chain Ghost Coin while periodically checking twitter, it was going nuts! (you can find the instructions on the teams Medium post here)
Even John himself was firin' up the lazors
Safe to say the hype was real the morning of the Main Nets launch I saw a few interesting posts on Reddit and /biz/, strong opinions from the bulls as well as the bears is an understatement. Between the discord and telegram groups it was hard to keep up with the memes and speculation, both were flying fast and loose. Then we got the updates, one from John and another was pushed on the official twitter.
So with that we waited and waited, you see where I'm going with this? Luckily I believe in the tech as well as the Dev team so watching the price crash while the FUD really kicked into overdrive wasn't too stressful, you just have to adopt that iron hands mentality you know, like shut up, didn't read, never selling kinda mindset.
A few hours later, many people who had hodl'd started to 'buy the dip' - most of use were watching the GitHub so we knew they were still working round the clock. Check out the Official GHOST by McAfee Repository on Github.

Quick snap shot of the day before Main Net and the subsequent sell off whilst waiting for the wallet.
Personally I bought more but hey this blog might just be pink wojaks sooner or later who knows.
Then came the announcement from the team, it said everything I needed to hear in the sense the team was delaying the launch of the wallet out of concerns for security, this should be the upmost priority for a 'privacy coin' in my opinion. Out of all the things that could actually damage the project it would be compromised wallet, its the only legitimate fud yet and the team never let it happen!

Since then the team has been updating the GitHub every few hours, certainly worth watching especially if you know more about the code side of things then I do! This in combination with the news of expansion into the EUA has me very excited for the future of Ghost tech, just think about the use cases of private currency and communications in a place like the Arab Emirates.
I'll finish this post here, I wanted to try and drag all the things I've been trying to keep up with into one place, I figured some of you might find it interesting to see why I'm still bullish about GHOST - I'm sure I've missed a few things off so feel free to drop a comment bellow and give me a heads up!
