Geyser ($GYSR) allows you to configure your own custom yield farm. This enables small communities to launch yield farming projects easily, even without great technical coding/know-how. This helps to create a point of contact and get people excited. The first project to do this was $RUGZ, an NFT-related project.
THE TEAM
Unlike many projects we see these days in the DeFi space, this project is not anonymous. It’s a two-man team, including a Thiel Fellowship recipient, Alex Koren.
FARMING THE GYSR TOKEN
Check the date when you read this, because while their token farming is very generous (giving out 89% to the community), the initial farming period ends Nov. 5, 2020. The APYs are very compelling, if short-term. This farming opportunity is particularly attractive for UNI token holders!
After this initial farm period is over, they’ll launch their GYSR LP Pool, which will also have generous rewards, but those will entail a greater risk of impermanent loss.
