There used to be a game called "Ascenders: Simulation". The game was similar to most of the resource management games out there. I think in web2 world we played a lot of them on Facebook and other similar resources. So if you think of the web games where the token and the blockchain is involved you can see that it would be a good option for developers to make money there.
However the way such games work out if they don't get the users, they have no sales of token and the nft. And then they are forced to close the doors. Something like that happened to the game dev company called legendary foundry games.
So what does this mean for game players of ascenders?
It means the studio is shutting down. It could be due to lack of adoption. Lack of sales and also failing to acquire regular user base. Which means depending on the bots and the fake numbers won't work. And also the NFT models have to generate the value too. So that is one of the ways you can generate some value that would be converting in the numbers.
I feel it's sad to see the studios closing on one failure. But you have to understand that you have to give value first then ask for the money. Just keeping the game and random nft and the token won't make you rich. If things were that easy, everyone would have been the gamedev and make money throwing in games. So adios studio, you tried!
