Welcome back everyone! I hope you are all doing well. Today, I have some more news to share with you all about Function Island! From the migration of our $FUNC token, to the launch of of our $ISLAND token, to our upcoming Function Island NFTs, we have plenty of news and utilities approaching fast!
$FUNC Migration
Firstly, we are pleased to announce that our $FUNC token is officially being migrated into our new token, $ISLAND! All holders of $FUNC can migrate their tokens at a 1:1 ratio, receiving 1 $ISLAND per $FUNC they own! You may ask: Why did we need a migration in the first place? Well, as many of you already know, $FUNC has a 1% tax on buys, sells and transfers. Due to this tax, our upcoming utilities, such as our Function Island NFTs, Function Island Vaults and Function Island Farms, would be significantly more difficult to build. $ISLAND also has a lower maximum supply than $FUNC, with a maximum supply of 300k tokens instead of 10 million. Therefore, we decided to migrate $FUNC to $ISLAND, allowing us to build our utilities faster and reward you all with a zero tax token!
$ISLAND Launch
Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that our $ISLAND token launch was a success! On December 15th, 2023, $ISLAND was launched at the same time as the $FUNC migration began. Liquidity for $ISLAND was added on December 17th, 2023, and users began trading. We are going to be adding plenty more liquidity as we launch more utilities for $ISLAND and our ecosystem, providing sustainable long-term value to our holders!
Function Island NFTs
Moreover, we are pleased to announce that the next utility we will launch will be our Function Island NFTs! This component of our ecosystem will be anything but ordinary! Funds used to mint Function Island NFTs will be used to buy $GOAT, which is fully collateralized by $WPLS and has a $WPLS price that can only rise! This guarantees that the Function Island NFTs will gain earnings in $WPLS value, which will be distributed to holders who stake their Function Island NFTs. Stakers will also benefit from funds in the Function Island Treasury. The contents of the treasury will be distributed to stakers over a specific period of time, guaranteeing yet another utility for Function Island NFT owners!
