Farewell Splinterlands!

Still forever, fare thee well!

In my previous post about my experience in Splinterlands game I promised to write something positive next time. Well, sorta positive here you are.

The game has finally become an utter shit, from my personal point of view. New Collection Power rules doesn't make it easier for new players to progress in the game, for various reasons which I'm not going to discuss here. Just have a look at the leader-board in Bronze league, who's sitting on top there, check their ranks, cards, and guilds. Those guys should play at least in high Golds, if not in Diamonds or Champs. Why they're sitting in the baby league then? Because it's much easier for them to grind rewards in Bronze league... No fun anymore for newbies, neither from the "investor's" nor the "gamer's" point of view.

Splinterlands devs may well be excellent coders, math wonder-boys and crypto-enthusiasts, but they're definitely poor businessmen and game designers. And unfortunately, to make a gaming candy it's not enough to code a "blockchain" shit into something.

"So what's your positive then?", you might ask.

I'm currently selling all my Splinterlands cards off. And the positive is that thanks to the newly introduced "lands sales" (WTF is that and why?!) shit I'm selling them at fairly good prices! I've already got my $28.95 inwastment back with game rewards, and I believe I can take out at least twice as much from my cards.

Well, Splinterlands was a game of great expectations, like many other things in cryptosphere. But it seems to me those expectations will hardly come true, like it was with many other things in cryptosphere.

So fare thee well!
