Social media is a force that shapes markets, transforms lives, and is poised to relegate traditional media to oblivion. The days of conventional media outlets are numbered, but the transition to WEB3 won't be an overnight phenomenon. While certain circumstances in the realm of WEB2 may drive some users towards WEB3, a mass EXODUS isn't on the horizon just yet.

Traditional social media giants like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter still serve as warm pools for billions of users. Despite occasional bans and related incidents, these issues typically affect personalities, sparing the average Mary and Joe from significant consequences.

Personally, I'm heavily invested in Twitter, primarily due to the vibrant crypto community thriving on the platform. However, I've been Facebook and Instagram-free for over six years. While I enjoyed these platforms initially, the increasing artificiality and fabricated stories prompted me to take a radical step – deleting my accounts and embarking on what I call "walking the lunatic way."

About a year ago, while out at a restaurant, a girl inquired, "How can I live without Facebook and Instagram? How do I find dates, and what do I do all day?" In her eyes, lacking these platforms meant being poor in terms of time-killing options. I introduced her to Hive, but blockchain-related topics quickly lost her interest.

Twitter isn't the epitome of a perfect social media app; it's more like the lesser evil I've chosen. Users with dense follower lists often contribute absurdities, but it remains a hub for crypto enthusiasts.

A few days ago, someone retweeted a post from a "brown chick." I can't recall the topic, but I distinctly remember her attractiveness. Intrigued, I perused her profile, discovering pictures with her kids but none with her husband (despite being married). Her feed was filled with thought-provoking posts, accompanied by snapshots in various alluring outfits.

However, she expressed profound gratitude for her kids, her husband, and the blessings bestowed upon her by "Lord Jesus" – or so it seems. Yet, if you hold such deep love for your family and your faith, why feel compelled to showcase your body incessantly? I fail to comprehend.

Does Jesus, your children, and your husband truly appreciate such explicit content? While I can't speak for Jesus (although he appears to have been a conservative figure), I wager her husband and kids don't need to witness their mother posting provocative images on social media day in and day out.

Despite this, she has amassed a considerable following, and to maintain their interest, she deems it necessary to share photos of her breasts and buttocks. The traditional social media scene is undeniably artificial, fueling the overall insincerity in the world.

Healthy and enduring relationships have suffered significantly due to the influence of social media. Many underestimate this aspect, but the "availability" provided by social media is a contributing factor to the recent surge in breakups and family discord. While infidelity existed in the past, social media has given it a platform to flourish.

I won't go as far as to assert that the mentioned girl is undoubtedly cheating on her husband, as I lack such information. However, I sense a motivation behind her posts – a need for validation and approval of her beauty and sensuality. Unfortunately, she may not realize that such behavior is inherently addictive.

I suspect that 90% of the global population actively using traditional social media apps would struggle with the idea of abstaining from these platforms for a few days or weeks. Social media has profoundly shaped the world in a short span, and we haven't even witnessed the full integration of AI with social media.

Consider the potential manipulative power once AI is fully employed in mastering algorithms and constructing narratives that serve the system. I once heard of an individual who took a bank loan to fund a vacation in Dubai for himself and his girlfriend, simply because the girlfriend's friend had a similar vacation. Two weeks after returning home, they broke up, but the man is likely still paying off the loan.

I'm not advocating for the complete abandonment of social media, but rather a periodic evaluation of its nature – a virtual realm where everyone appears content and fulfilled while often enduring misery in real life. Technology is undoubtedly a blessing for humanity, yet it can also serve as the key to a dark and cold prison cell for some, a cell that proves difficult to escape.
